"Cover versions come in three categories. Firstly are those that are carbon copies of the original they add nothing and take nothing away they're basically a facsimile. Secondly are those that tinker around the edges taking the original and make it sound like their own song. Then there are those that transform the original so much that it's barely recognisable as the same song, this is the approach Swinney and Native Youth take to the old Chris Isaacs classic Wicked Game. They twist it every which way turning it inside out then smash it into little pieces before reassembling it into something that sounds like it's been beamed in from another planet.
